Expeditor
Job Description:
- Expeditor shall be on site for each Region
- To support Freight Executive in handling freight forwarding activities such as import, export and customs clearance.
- To conduct and monitor materials delivery by telephone calls, telexes facsimile and visits to the Vendor’s premises, frequency of which shall be dependent on PURCHASE ORDER delivery date.
- Expeditor shall in conjunctions with the Vendor, to review and familiarize the delivery schedule and any other relevant documents to enable him to efficiently monitor the delivery of the materials and / or equipment and thereby ensure Vendors compliance to timely delivery and meet COMPANYs Operating Plant Unit (OPU) requirement.
- To recommend to COMPANY Representatives, from time to time and promptly report of any anticipated delays or backlogs from any reasons whatsoever and recommend appropriate remedial actions thereto.
- To recommend to COMPANY Representatives procedural ideas in respect of the performance of the expediting services with a view to maximize its effectiveness.
- Plan and perform materials delivery execution through monitoring, communicating and issuance of reminders to COMPANY vendors / sub-vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to ensure no disruption to operations.
- Prepare, verify and upload required documents in Web PILS (e.g., not limited to Customs documents, AWB/BL and etc).
- Ensure delivery of materials are complete with documents (not limited to Customs Clearance documents (K1/K8 and etc), Invoice and Packing List, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and etc.)
- Coordinate, analyze and resolve Criticism of Materials (COM) by communicating and engaging with COMPANY’s vendors / sub-vendors, End-users and Buyers for COMs issued for off-spec, damaged or short- age of materials delivered to ensure correct materials (in terms of quality and quantity) are delivered as specified in the order.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma holder or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Supervisor level (advantage if Exposure to the logistics and freight forwarding environment.
- Professional qualification in Freight Forwarding or Logistics is an added advantage.
Logistics Coordinator
Job Description:
- Plan, coordinate and manage logistics activities spread across multiple locations separated by wide geographic regions in the safest and cost effective to meet COMPANY business requirements while ensuring compliance with COMPANY established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, practice of good governance and integrity in the overall processes and practices to support operations.
- Prepare, coordinate, and process the application of payment for Customs duty, GST and/or SST, advance payment to COMPANY’s vendors / sub-vendors for submission to COMPANY’s Finance in order to facilitate expediting process.
- To manage ad-hoc & urgent request of logistics with no interruption to operations.
- To manage and monitor freight forwarding performance.
- To manage and monitor documents uploaded in Web PILS as per requirement.
- To expedite on the delivery of materials & services as required by the COMPANY.
- Compliance to statutory requirement for inbound and outbound shipment.
- To maintain confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity of information and uphold strict compliance to work processes, guidelines, procedures, and regulations set by COMPANY and authorities at all times.
- Plan and manage the hauler for import and export shipments.
- Represent company to deal with local authorities (i.e., customs/OGA) – for day-to-day escalation.
- Coordinate with the liners/freight forwarder detention/demurrage.
